I had to share these words written by my sistren Sarah Greaves-Gabbadon. She shared them on her Instagram channel this morning. She is one of the Caribbean’s Top Travel Experts and a brilliant writer, who is Jamaican and based out of Miami for the last 16 years.
I say all of that to let you know who she is and her background, but also to set up the snippet of her article that I have shared below. I had to share this snippet and the link to the full article because it reflects discussions I have been having recently with my Jamaican friends who I’ve been visiting with these past few weeks. All of them, have been living in the States for an average of 15-20 years. I’ve been a full time digital nomad since summer last year and have been travelling mostly to the States and also to London and Malaysia.
It always comes up as to how our Jamaican-ness has helped to make them stand out, navigate certain social and business situations and excelling where others do not.
