SiliconCaribe started as a blog to chronicle our Caribbean Startup Stories. The blog evolved into a must-read Dow Jones syndicated tech news site published in over 90 countries worldwide.
It then evolved into becoming the leading producer of Caribbean Tech Events having hosted over 300+ of them that’s brought together over 100,000 entrepreneurs, c-suite executives, investors, governments, and non-profits.
From the Tech News Blog came a roster of tech events that started with the pioneering tech startup community event series Kingston Beta kickstarted Jamaica’s Tech Startup Scene and led to Caribbean Beta the Region’s first tech startup conference in 2011. Kingston BETA, 17 years later is the Caribbean’s first and longest-running tech event series and community.
What came next was Startup Weekend Jamaica, Agrihack Caribbean, Caribbean Bloggers Week; plus Startup Pitch Competitions and Trend Forums around Blockchain, Fintech, and Women in Tech. Additionally, SiliconCairbe provided Caribbean Tech, and StartupContent programming was also produced for SXSW and Black Tech Week in the United States.
